What’s more, 78% of those surveyed said that they’d be more attracted to someone if they were knowledgeable about music.

The study also asked how avid Brits are about music; one in three participants said they had a passionate interest in music whilst 60% revealed they listen to music multiple times per day. What’s more, 62% stressed that it’s a prerequisite for a partner to be keen on music, whilst two-thirds said that going to a concert was a great first date idea.

As well as habits, the survey explored tastes. Of those who voted in favour of gig-dates, the majority (25%) said that a pop concert would be just the ticket. For those averse to pop music, rock concerts came i…

There’s definitely something for everyone, and we’re particularly looking forward to catching:

Gay Marriage is Legal in The Falkland Islands

Good news from the bottom of the world – gay marriage is legal in The Falkland Islands!
1,500 kilometers off the coast of Argentina, The Falkland Islands is a British Overseas Colony with a population of 3,000 people. During a recent public consultation, 90% of those asked about same-sex marriage responded favorably.

Furthermore, 94% agreed that civil partnerships should be available to everyone: homosexuals and heterosexuals.

The law has now been changed in line with these results.

Meaning that The Falklands now allows both gay marriage and straight civil partnerships.  The latter exceeding current UK legislation.

A statement released by the Government and reprinted in The Merco Press read:

”The move sends a clear and powerful message that all couples have an equal right for their relationships to be recognized under the law, including all associated protections, rights and responsibilities. It reflects the Falkland Islands’ tradition of openness, tolerance and respect for others.“The Fal…

Reports of Homosexual Concentration Camps in Chechnya

A Russian newspaper has reported that at least three men in Chechnya have been killed following police action that saw 100 gay men detained.
Although Chechen authorities deny creating homosexual concentration camps, tellingly, they also deny the existence of homosexuality anywhere in their Republic. A spokesman for Chechnya’s leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, told The Interfax news agency: “You cannot detain and persecute people who simply do not exist in the republic,”
Outright International issued a statement detailing independent sources which appear to confirm accounts of torture and suggest that the number of men killed ‘maybe as many as 20’.Jessica Stern, executive director of OutRight Action International, commented:

The perpetrators of this malicious campaign must be held accountable for the systematic detention, torture, and killings of innocent men in Chechnya. No government should get away with such wanton human rights violations.Radio Free Europe spoke to three Chechen men who gave …

THATMuse: An Alternative to the Same-Old Hen, Stag or Hag Do

Hen, stag and hag parties are big business. They can be big headaches, too.  Once you’ve chosen what you want to do, picked who to invite, synchronised availability, made the booking, collected the money, sorted the transport and everything else there’s still the chance that what you’ve booked is actually a bit – well  shit.
There’s so much pressure now on couples and their entourage to get everything right.  Expectations are big, and so are budgets (even when the attendees might prefer it if they weren’t), but at the heart of it, hen, stag and hag dos have always been about giving the person getting married a good send off.
That’s why we were intrigued when we heard about the launch of THATMuse (Treasure Hunt At The Museum).
Here’s what they have to say:
"Hen and Stag nights may fill some people with abject dread, envisioning a night of clichéd debauchery and bad decisions. For those who would rather marvel over the chiselled physique of a Grecian torso than carousing the city str…
