Gay Pride in the UK: May 2016

There are some fantastic pride events happening in the UK and Ireland in 2016 and each month we’re going to list a selection of them.

Pride is a celebration of everyone: a celebration of diversity, unity and acceptance.

We’ve been thinking, too, about how fantastic a pride event would be as a tie-in with a hen, stag or hag party.

If you’re looking for ideas to celebrate your upcoming nuptials, then take a look and see what’s coming up in your area.

 MAY 2016

May 27th – 29th is Burnley Pride. This is East Lancashire’s first LGBT pride. Events are free to attend with two nights of parties held at local watering hole, Smackwater Jacks.

May 28th - 29th is Birmingham Pride. Tickets are £9.00, but they have a fantastic event line up. Singers on the main stage include Lisa Stansfield, Fleur East, Andy Bell from Erasure, Katy B, Liberty X, Venga Boys, Ms Dynamite and many more.

May 28th 11.00 - 6.30pm is Bradford Pride. This takes place in the Provident Stadium and features performances by Heather Peace, Stooshe, Jake Quickenden and more.

May 30th is Durham Pride. Now in its third year, Durham Pride is going from strength-to-strength and is free to everyone. Following the parade, there are some big names on the main stage including Basshunter and *ahem* The Cheeky Girls.

What are your pride plans for 2016?
