LGBT+ Students in the UK - Can You Help With Important Research?
Do you identify as LGBT+? Are you a student? Do you live in the UK?
We’ve been contacted by a PhD student researching mental health among LGBT+ students. She’s hoping to understand
how mental health and well-being develop over time.
The project will involve LGBT+ students completing
questionnaires about their sexuality, gender identity, beliefs, thinking
patterns, coping strategies and stress levels at 3 time points (1 month
apart).
Participation will take approximately 30 minutes at each time point and participants will receive reminders to complete the survey at each time point.
Understanding mental health is so important
especially in the LGBT+ bracket and this is one way of contributing something that
could add up to greater understanding of mental health in the future.
We’d be hugely grateful if you could help out with
this research.
The study is operating under the ethical approval
of King’s College London Psychiatry, Nursing and Midwifery Research Ethics Subcommittee.
